The Club now has a smartly renovated entrance, complete with steps and a sign, thanks to the sterling work of Ian Fenn. And it also has an entirely new pathway leading through the Rec. Ian, supported by Paul Cowling, Paul Calnon, James Lauder and Maggie Andrews, re-concreted the pathway to get rid of the persistent puddle and mud, put hardcore alongside the wall, and then added steps and a handrail to save visitors a ski-run down the slope.  The re-location of the wooden sign from the netting added the finishing touch. The pot-holed roadway alongside the courts is due to be resurfaced any day now, weather permitting. Meanwhile on the other side of the courts, the Community Service team which has been working on the Rec extended the pathway along the northern edge of the playing field to take it to the tennis club fence.  Further plans include an extension to the lower gate, as part of an idea to give Rec users a better surface to access all the facilities available.
