Ten youngsters and five supporting adults turned out on Saturday morning, July 7th, for a pilot session for the new Club Junior sessions starting on July 21st.

The players paused their games on court to vote unanimously for weekly sessions, and agreed that Saturday mornings between 10 and 12 would work best for both players and adult supervision.
The sessions, which mirror the Adult turnouts on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings, are free and open to all Junior members aged 11 to 17.  Annual membership for Juniors has been reduced to £10 this year, with the only two of Saturday’s contingent who were not members agreeing to sign up immediately.
With plans laid for at least two adults to be on duty for the sessions, the kids got back on court for what they wanted most – to get out and play.
