Minehead’s tennis Super-Veterans reaped revenge on a Wivey squad when they won three of the four matches in their latest clash on June 29th, and drew the fourth.
Helena Trump and new signing Shena Harknett were alone in holding their Minehead counterparts Jenny Thomas and Mary Fay to a 6-6 draw in the last match of a fiercely hot day in the sun.
Oliver Courtney and Jeremy Toye fared less well in the Men’s, losing 1-6,2-6 against visitors Dennis Hill and Don Simmons.  And Minehead won both the mixed doubles matches.
With Wivey having won the first encounter of the season at Minehead on June 13th, the scene is set for a third round later in the summer.
